My Story
My mother, Mary Ann, enjoyed all of life's finer things of her day; such as china, crystal, silver and antiques. She loved finding serving items and pieces. She loved setting beautiful tables and having lovely centerpieces. Every Thanksgiving and Christmas was a chance to polish the silver and set the table with her best. I did not realize that she, and her aunts--my great aunts, taught me and my sisters so much about mannerisms and how I hang on to them. I have a son and believe me I have taught him well about manners and table does and don'ts...he sometimes just doesn't show them. Oh well, I know he knows the manners, they will just have to come out as needed I guess, LOL!
Delightful Tea Parties was founded with the goal of providing affordable and reliable tea party equipment rentals to our local community and surrounding areas. I started out with just a tea cup and saucer; but then I couldn't stop! I have chosen to have more inclusive services and elegant pieces for a spectacular event. I enjoy bringing people together and creating the perfect touch to entertain. I believe that in today's fast paced lifestyle, we need to slow down and have a cup of tea...and smell the roses. We, as a community, need to teach elegant traditions so they don't disappear; don't you think? I am based in Elizabethtown, Kentucky and will be providing services to Central Kentucky. Mainly in Hardin, Meade, LaRue, Nelson, Hart, Bullitt and Grayson Counties. Of course this will include our great Ft. Knox base and Louisville. If you are willing to travel to Elizabethtown, Kentucky I will be glad to service you.
The Pieces
At Delightful Tea Parties, I take pride in my pieces. I only use the best quality tea cups I can find (antiques mostly) and I ensure that they are always clean and well-maintained. The inventory includes everything from tea cups to the teas. I am always adding to my collection...you never know what you may find. Below, you will see different sections divided by subjects. If you ever need exact details on a piece, I will be glad to let you know everything that I know.
My Commitment to Customer Service
I understand that planning a party or event can be stressful, which is why I strive to make the rental process as easy and stress-free as possible. I strive to be friendly, helpful, and ready to answer any questions you may have. I will be offering delivery (fees priced by distance and availability) or pick-up on the packages you rent. I also will be available for table settings or tea etiquette for a small fee. There is an art to serving the tea, pouring the tea, stirring the sugar and cream to sipping the tea.

This table is set and ready to go for a child's tea party. This is the Melmac purple set that can handle children's roughness. The Melmac is hard plastic. All you see if the Melmac except for the tea pot and cake plate.

Here are the dessert serving pieces. From the far left you will see a cake and pie server that matches (silver plated) , then you will see a cake knife, cake server and a cheese server. Those three pieces are stainless steel with white ceramic handles adorned with peaches and blackberries. These are clear glass beverage pitchers. Use them for cold drinks or water. If you are hosting a children's party, you may want to set a small area for parent to have cold tea or lemonade.
Here are a few of the serving platters I have available. Some are silver plate and some are just decorative metal.
Here a a couple of antique plates and a gorgeous antique oval platter. I would use these pieces for serving sandwiches or scones.
CENTERPIECES & CANDLE STICKS
My newest centerpiece. It is full of color, don't you think? Small enough to see over. Purples, pinks, peach and yellow.

Talk about a beautiful centerpiece, shew a BIRD CAGE! Now you are getting serious with one the cages filled with fresh flowers and possibly a butterfly or a blue bird sitting atop the wired cage. The will make the table explode with beauty!
TAblecloth Selection and napkins
An eye pleasing navy tablecloth with cream flowers. A hint of green tied into the background. This tablecloth is 60 inches x 104 inches rectangular. This is a water repellant tablecloth. It is very lightweight.
A lace runner measuring 13 inches wide by 48" long. Three available. Polyester
This beautiful white tablecloth is a perfect square. It measures 47 inches by 47 inches. It is a light cotton. One would almost think it is linen. It does have a design and outlines in lines.
A sheer baby blue nylon square. You can use this as a table runner or if you have a dessert table, you can fluff it as shown to place your sweets or candy on. This is perfect is you are going to have a princess party. The measurement is 60 inches by 62 inches. There are two sheers.
A beautiful light yellow rectangular tablecloth with designs. This measures 99 inches by 56 inches. This is a satin material.
Tables and chairs
A white fold up chair for children. I have 10 in stock.
So sweet..this child's size PINK resin Chiavari chair is adorable! I have ten of these.
Isn't this absolute stunning? This is what I call THE PRINCESS CHAIR. This chair is for the special person of the day. Use it for pictures and also at the table. It is in gold trim and the upholstery is silver.
